Memo from Christa
Hello Herring Belles & Beaux ! I’m sure we’re all looking forward to Scenic Caves this Wednesday, February 11: $12 for skiing and snowshoeing…..and the party to follow in the cabin.
Please remember to bring your tasty contribution and whatever beverage you would like in addition to the wine to be provided.
We’ll have one more attempt to reach the magic number of 30 for the extra bus ride on February 18, so bring along a cheque if you are interested.
A Message from Christa Naylor, Coordinator
“Greetings, HERRINGBELLES AND BEAUX! This Wednesday we will go to Horseshoe once again….still $13.00 for skiing and $10.00 for snowshoeing.
As for the extra bus trip on Feb. 18, we will need a firm commitment to make the subsidized rate of $30 each for 30 people possible. Consider whether you are interested in another trip and come to the Feb.11 party with a blank cheque!!!
We return to Highlands Nordic again on January 28. “Seemed like the best bet given the meagre snowfall!” says Christa. Rates are $10 trail fee and $7 for snowshoeing.
The bus will
likely be taking us to Highlands Nordic at Duntroon this Wednesday. The trail fee (group rate) will be about $10 (Update: $7 for snowshoeing). It promises to be another wonderful outing!
This Wednesday we’re off to Hardwood Hills. The trail fee is $18 (group rate) and snowshoeing is $12.
For those who are receiving this notice by email, simply click (or tap) on the destination logo (or boxed link if your graphics are turned off) to take you directly to the ski resort’s website.
Cross-country skiing for the Herring Belles & Beaux begins this Wednesday, January 7. We’re off to Horseshoe.
The details: the bus leaves promptly at 9:00 a.m. from the parking lot at the Toronto Botanical Gardens on the southwest corner of Lawrence and Leslie (our former meeting place a few years ago). Please use the east end of the lot (away from the TBG buildings) and avoid parking near the lot’s outside perimeter. We’ll have parking tags for your car — the club is absorbing the parking fees charged by the city.
Time to hit the trails!
